Remote Support
allows us to access your computer to perform virtually any
task we would do onsite. Generally, in the time it takes to
drive to your facility, we will have the issue resolved.
If you are
having problems with your computer and would like to try our
remote support solution, please call us at (815) 354-4528. |
Remote support is one of our
favorite tools. It will quickly become one of yours as well.
With remote support tools, we are able to access your
computer and perform many of the following items:
- Restore data
from your backups.
- Remove
viruses and malware.
- Update your
computer with the latest security and
critical updates.
- Install new
software on your computer.
- Determine
how serious the problem you are having is
and decide whether an onsite visit is best.

We use 256 bit secure remote
access software when we connect to your computer so there's
never a risk on anyone on the Internet intercepting our
session. The remote session is controlled by you at all
times. On the menu bar at the top of all of our website pages,
there is a link called 'Remote Support'. This is what you
click to initiate a support session. There are two
requirements. 1) You do need to have an active Internet
connection. If the problem is with your Internet connection
then remote support is not an option for you. 2) We need to
be in our office to receive the support session. If we're
not, we will make arrangements to meet you online in a short
amount of time.
Once connected to your computer,
we are able to do nearly everything we would do if we were
in front of your computer. You can just sit back and watch
us work if you like or go and do something else. We'll let
you know when we're done.
One other side benefit of Remote
Support is for training. If you are having difficulties with
a feature of a program, we can walk you through how to use
it. It's not like looking over someone's shoulder. You'd be
in front of your computer just as you normally would be. We
can perform the task. Then we can watch you perform it. The
feedback is instantaneous so the learning experience is very
effective. Most people find it better to learn this way than
being taught onsite. |
