Optimized Computing is a local (Northern Illinois) computer services firm that is focused on serving micro and small businesses. We also do residential support. Since our inception in November of 2001, we have tried to be a full service operation so that our clients have a single point of contact for all of their computing needs. The decision to start this company was based on a need that I found while spending nearly 25 years running a small, family owned manufacturing company. It was apparent that micro and small businesses needed quality IT support as much as medium and large size firms. The problem was that it wasn't feasible for a small business to afford a full time technologist. This left them with some unpleasant options. They could rely on the home computing expertise of their employees or hire overpriced technology firms that really weren't interested in dealing with companies of under 100 people. I saw that need and decided to fill it. We have acquired many wonderful clients and friends over the past 13 years. A large part of our success is due to 3 factors: 1) We never forget our small business roots and what it takes to run a business. 2) We treat all of our clients with respect and speak English and not Geek to them. 3) We truly love our job and find great satisfaction in helping our clients get the most from their technology investment.
